If You Go Near the Super Bowl, You Will Be Surveilled Hard–Kate Edwards

This article summarizes the security advancements that the Super Bowl will be implemented at Levi’s stadium. This year, there will be video surveillance everywhere. More than two years worth of planning went into the security detail of this event, including contributions from the FBI and other agencies who are monitoring not only the stadium, but the majority of the Bay Area. The law enforcement agencies will be tracking phones, faces, bodies, and cars.

I chose this article because security is a huge issue and a concern for major events like the Super Bowl, especially post 9/11. Security issues can quickly derail an event like this and put many people in danger. The fact that there will be so much security solves the problem of multiple potential threats to the people and the area. Though the security does not ensure that there will be no issues, it will help greatly with discovering threats before they turn into bigger problems.
