TSN Provides a Digital Media Hub for 2015 World Cup – Alexa Fontanella

Canadian sports specialty channel TSN launched a website for the tournament’s host nation prior to the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup. TSN.ca/FIFA allows fans to get closer to the action through on-demand viewing of the tournament, articles and blog posts from hosts and analysts, as well as match highlights, stats, group standings and much more. The most creative and interactive feature involves digital coverage through a dedicated Hubub, which allows fans across the country to interact with each other throughout the tournament and support Team Canada. TSN wanted to create a digital media hub that allows fans to find almost any information they may be searching for through one website. Their is even a link on the website dedicated to each member of Team Canada, which allows fans to learn more about the players representing their country, featuring a player bio and video vignette.

TSN is not only one of the official broadcast providers for the 2015 Women’s World Cup, but span across several platforms. They also offer live coverage of Canada matches and the round of 16 through the Final, on TSN Radio, as well as live streaming on mobile devices through TSN GO. TSN has provided Canada with an all around World Cup experience through the web, mobile devices, television, and radio. Fans will no longer have a reason to miss a moment of the action as Canada continues their quest for a World Cup victory.
