Hawk-Eye to provide goal-line technology for Women’s World Cup-Chris Katsifis

The 2015 Women’s World Cup is the second FIFA tournament to have Hawk-Eye goal line technology. Hawk-Eye can locate the ball through its seven cameras and high-frame-rate cameras and vision-processing techniques. It can will send a signal to the referee within one second, to let the ref know if goal was scored. It will also be shown to fans to show them if the shot was goal or not. This technology will help the refs make better calls and give fans a better viewing experience.
