How the SF Giants Use Social Media to Score with Fans, Tame the Trolls

I chose this article because it gives a very direct perspective on the current world of sport social media from someone who works in it (and who we just talked to in class). I think the most interesting aspect of the article is when he talks in very plain language about how a teams social media is not intended to be a competitor to traditional media, and instead is there to supplement what is already out there and to rally the fans. Also, by virtue of the interview format, it really did put a human face on social media and tech, and as someone who loves media/tech/stats the almost sterilized nature that it can have at times is disheartening, so it nice to be reminded that there are people on the other end of it all.
