The NBA has extended its with Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. and the Walt Disney Company through a new, nine year agreement, which will have ABC, TNT, and ESPN will televise NBA games. This new deal will be effective for the 2016-2017 season going through 2024-2025 season. Under this new agreement, the partners together will televise more national regular-season games with ABC and ESPN each taking 100 games each, and Turner taking 64. The NBA and Turner will also continue their “groundbreaking” partnership to manage the NBA’s digital assets which includes; NBA TV, NBA.com, NBA Mobile, NBA League Pass, and WNBA.com as well. Under the agreement, ESPN will be given enhanced digital rights to allow them to provide digital rights to supply NBA content for multiple ESPN platforms, including ESPN.com as well as WatchESPN.
