Oculus Super Bowl party could be the future of social sports broadcasting- Nick Herceg

While the whole country is watching the Super Bowl on Sunday, Oculus, the virtual reality firm is planning on changing how consumers view the game. One company is using the Oculus to join dozens of people across the country together in a virtual environment. Instead of being cramped inside a living room, viewers with the Oculus will be transported to a virtual theater complete with the same features of a real Super Bowl broadcast (changing volume with proximity to the television, synchronized cheering when a big play occurs, etc.). The tech company has also installed applications, like Youtube and Twitter, into the Oculus headset that will help users share their gameday experience.
