Arizona Cardinals get stadium ready for Super Bowl with Wi-Fi upgrade -Matt Puzio

With the Super Bowl less than a month away, the IT team at the University of Phoenix Stadium upgraded the Wi-Fi throughout the facility to ensure fans have a seamless and top-notch experience. A critical component of the in-game fan experience has become the use of mobile devices to supplement on-field events. Fans want to have statistics and replay systems at their fingertips, as well as instant connectivity to share, post, or check-in to events via Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Instagram, etc. This $8 million “top to bottom” revamp at the University of Phoenix Stadium has set the new standard for Wi-Fi connectivity for stadiums across all sports. By providing a greater number of Wi-Fi access points, at greater speeds and broader coverage, including extending Wi-Fi to the plaza areas outside the stadium, will ensure fans are connected to the web before even entering the stadium gates.
